The Read and Release Program
Hi. My name is Mrs. Altman, and I am a teacher starting a book exchange program called Read and Release.
Here’s how it works: The teacher will give each of their students a well-loved (used) book labeled, “Read and Release”.
Each student may then keep the book or read it and then trade it in for another Read and Release book.
If a student has their parent’s permission, they may also trade one of their well-loved books from home in for a Read and Release book.
Different student volunteers will run the Read and Release table at first recess.
